Bachelors Grove Investigation
« on: March 29, 2009, 02:48:07 PM »
Hey guys, I just found this site web surfing.

I first heard about Bachaelors Grove when one of my friends started going out there all the time. He told me he saw the full white lady, and was hearing screams. I watch Ghost Hunters alot, and decided to check it out.

My first time going there was January of last year. We managed to park our cars in the residential area, and sneak in. Walking the forest path to the cemetary was creepy, but nothing happened. After spending a half hour in the cemetery nothing paranormal happened.

Second time going was about twenty minutes after a long night at work. I was a bit tired at the time which could've resulted in me being a little bit more paranoid about going there. As usual we took the back entrance. When we took the path, all of a sudden both of my friends shined there light claiming they saw a figure run in front of them. This wasn't easily debunked cause they said it was six foot high, nothing in the area was that high, even the trees, and all the weed growth. Since I did not see it myself I don't consider it paranormal. After reaching the cemetery we began walking in groups of 2 combing the area. Nothing happened, and we met up in the center of the cemetery by the infants grave. What happened next changed me from being a skeptic.

Both me and my friend Anthony noticed a human shaped shadow figure about thirty feet in front of us. When we go back in the grove we always carry some protection on us. We heard the stories of cult people back there, satanists, and a few murders that actually happened there. We shined a light on the figure, and nothing. I quickly grabbed my night camera, and turned it on. For a split second I caught the figure on the camera, and all of a sudden my camera died. The battery was charged, and was brand new! The battery could've been faulty, but it had worked five minutes earlier when I tested it.

The figure kept moving up, and everyone was seeing it. We freaked out, and in a last ditch effort to get some evidence i took out my cellphone, and tried to get a shot. My brand new Verizon Dare Phone didn't work because the flash busted. The figure vanished, and right after we heard coyotes so we ran.

After several follow up visits, nothing happened. Its concluded from our research that we weren't able to get physical evidence of any sort. Alot of the common claims such as the noises (like dogs) can be explained because of the coyotes back there. When investigating the claims of the white woman, we tried to explain it. We thought maybe it could be the lights from the highway, but those lights were up in the trees. We couldn't debunk it.

Conclusion: Something is going on. It isn't demonic, but because of the atmosphere people jump to conclusions that its haunted.

You are right about the dogs the coyotes do bark and there are a lot of them in the area. The place has spirits there and I for one have not seen any myself but the pictures i`ve seen from different people prove that to me. I will not go there at night and get taken to the Police Station but there have been numerious siteings during the day light hours.

I'll chime in..

First, think of me as a skeptic believer...

I DO believe there is SOMETHING about BG that makes it unique, absolutely. And I don't doubt some people's experiences.
But, to play devils advocate, I think my biggest concern in some of the photos I have seen taken at the grove, and of some of the experiences - I think some people go there WANTING something to happen so badly that they read more into regular experiences.

I know because of this, anything I ever have experienced there, or may experience in the future will be intensely 'dissected' before I claimed it was something paranormal, or ghostly.

No doubt in the least that something is going on. Or, it wouldn't have the reputation it does... but, I wonder sometimes how many experiences are adding TO the reputation, as compared to resulting FROM the reputation. ;)
