Sept. 26th night visit
« on: September 27, 2008, 02:04:35 AM »
So my friends and I decided last night would be a good one to visit the BG.  We went back there and chilled with a couple who was hanging out with a couple of beers by the infant tombstone.  We then started wandering.  My buddy and I were exploring off the trail a little bit, looking for tombstones.  He felt a tug on his shirt and it led him right to a tombstone.
Weird..
We then went off to the area that people used to do satanic rituals.  We found the area after walking what seemed to be like forever.
This is where it begins to get weird..
We have been back to this area quite a bit, so we know our way around, even in the middle of the night.  We turn around to find the trail absolutely gone.  Like we couldn't find it.  So we go back in the general direction we came, but we literally crossed the creek in the woods 20 times.  Back and forth.  And we were going in the same direction.
We would stop every now and then, hearing faint voices or weird sounds.  And it seemed that every time we decided to turn a different way, we would see an object lit up in a white light.  So, naturally, we would go towards it.
After two hours tromping in the woods (me in my sandals, no less), we started getting freaked out.  We all started arguing and yelling to go opposite ways from each other.
Eventually, I said forget it and just followed the creek down until we finally found the path out.  Great relief, trust me.
So we leave the area, and i start getting phone calls and texts.  My mom, for example, called me to tell me that my number popped up on the call log twice (at 330 am) and the third time she answered.  She heard voices (not the voices of my friends or I) whispering and saying really strange things.  I also had friends call me to tell me that they received a text message around 335 saying "Help us" or "I'm so scared".  Neither my text log or online text log showed text messages or calls sent any time we were in there.
It was seriously Blair Witch in there.  It felt like we were being led away from the path while we were lost, and every few minutes i'd feel a light touch on my arm (not a mosquito landing on your skin feeling, mind you), or having my hair on my neck raise on end.   There was also faint sounds of laughing here and there.  It was definitely an experience that I will never soon forget.

thats crazy! I went with my girl around 1:45 i think it was and it was so dark and we had no flashlights or anything. Just walking in we didnt feel welcomed at all and hesitated for a while wether to keep going. We finally got all the way to the end of the path and it was soo quiet like right before you're gonna hear something. And all of the sudden we hear like 5 noises all different ones..but the 2 i remember were a girl yelling for something. Then we said fuck this, and walked out..as soon as we turned around we both felt comfortable like the cemetary just wanted us to leave. Before we got out to the path opening something made me just stare back at the dark path to the cemetary..i was just mesmerized with it and couldnt look away. Then it ended and we walked out.

But about the phone thing...today our phone rang one time and it went right to voicemail on the phone before we could answer and it was all staticy but it was a woman screaming. Like fucking screaming hard. And we checked the caller id, it was my moms friend. We called her back and she never called in the first place.
That cemetary was evil that night...me and my girl mighta pissed it off and then it gave you guys a hard time too

Hmmmm... To the two above posters...  I am assuming that both of you have been there several times.  In relation to the other visits that you have had, were the above mentioned forays taken around the same time of day you usually go or same time of year, same time of moon cycle, etc.?  What was different about this time in real terms (time, date, moon, weather, people you went with, etc.) than the other forays you have had?  I would venture one more night trip some time but I would really like to go with people who feel they are sensitives to this sort of thing at a time that seems ripe for paranormal activity.  Every time I have gone, it was nice and quiet.  I even went on a full moon and there was no activity except for the incessant and unwarranted jumpiness of the people I went with.

This was actually my 2nd time visiting. The first time was in the day and the group i was with all felt a little unwelcomed at first, but very calm once we got in the actual cemetery. We went in January.

On friday..well actually early saturday morning (1:45am), it was a very very foggy night. The moon was not in sight. It was a very cool night, but i remember once we started walking down the path into the cemetary that all feeling of being cold went away. It was just replaced by uneasiness. The forest was like pitch black almost, but we never had a problem walking steadily down the path. Nothing on the ground, and no running into logs or bushes. We didnt have flashlights so after walking like half way, we're like we cant even see where we're going, so lets leave. We left, and something in me wanted to go back so bad...so back we went. And once we got to the end of the path into the cemetery we heard all the noises and something in me told me to just leave. It didnt want us there. Not tonight and once i made that decision then all the uneasiness/paranoia in me went away. We slowly walked out and everything was very calm and quiet. Alot of people run out, feeling like they're being chased when they hear or see something paranormal. I think its just wise to walk out, the spirits know you're not a threat then. My girl was a little scared and so was I, im not gonna lie, but being there at night made me crazy about wanting to go back. I'd love to go back soon.

What i did notice though is that although the path is pretty close to the street, you do not hear ANY cars or trucks passing. No loud mufflers, no breaks, no nothing. And surprisingly there was alot of cars driving around.

I also didnt see any police which was odd i guess.

Im planning on going within the next couple of weeks. Maybe sooner, it seems like a good time of year to go...judging from the posters experience and mine.

Hmmmm... So perhaps a new moon is better?  Actually, it sounds like it the moon wasn't new so much as there was cloud cover that night.  Perhaps moist atmosphere conditions are more conducive to such displays of paranormal activity?  In any case, are you sure that in the pitch darkness, you didn't see pranksters making all kinds of noise and such?  It seems the best thing to do in such cases is to confirm rather than run.... I take that back.... I guess it is probably a LOT scarier to run into bored, antsy and inebriated teenaged punks than spirits and such.

In any case, I would be down for another trot there with people who seem to sense things there.  Although, maybe it's a winning-the-lottery type thing where it never happens twice to anyone.... hmmmm.... are there any virgin sensitives out there?

By the way, I've heard cars on the path (although, it is actually difficult to hear it because you are relatively deep in the woods along the path) and my hearing isn't incredibly great or anything (going to the My Bloody Valentine concert this Saturday probabaly didn't help it any, either.)

I hear a lot of stories about "bad feelings" and such on this board and I would just like to have physical evidence to go along with it.  I am not familiar with EMF readings as I do not know what any reading on the gauge would mean.  However, there seem to be simpler things that can be done like temperature comparisons (take a thermometer along?), pictures, recordings, etc.  I tend to have balls of steel (well.... not when it comes to fighting satanists, cops and teen punks: i.e. situations where I KNOW I'm fucked) and would have no objections to going to places indicated by sensitives as being "bad spots."

Despite the intensity of my previous experience, I would definitely be up for another foray into the woods again soon. I actually live not far from the area, on 147th and central (basically walking distance away).  I figure going later than 1 am ( less cops) is the best idea. To tell y'all the truth, I was skeptical coming into last weekend, but now am a firm believer.  if anyone wants to tag along, let me know!

Yeah i'd be down for it. Should we wait until after Halloween now? I always see posts about it being "haunted" by cops in october, lol. Since you live close to it i'm guessing you'd know the best times.

Well, if we go w/i the next week  we should be okay. Maybe take a drive down 143rd before we go to scope the area out.  And keep the exact date and time off of these boards, because you never know what cop might be trolling the site
